Cash Management

Key features of Cash Management in SAP

It centralizes and optimizes all tasks related to cash management, moving from a manual and error-prone process to a digital and real-time one.

Real-Time Visibility: Enables treasury managers to instantly view the balances of all company bank accounts, regardless of the bank or country. This is achieved through integration with banks and the processing of electronic bank statements.

Cash Forecasting: Through integration with other SAP modules (such as Sales and Distribution - SD, Purchasing - MM, and Financial Accounting - FI), the system can project future cash inflows and outflows with high accuracy. This includes expected customer payments, supplier payments, salaries, etc.

Centralized Bank Account Management: Offers a single platform to manage all corporate bank accounts, enabling centralized control of master data, account opening, closing, and review.

Liquidity Optimization: The system identifies liquidity surpluses or deficits and facilitates decision-making. For example, it automates cash pooling, which is the transfer of money between accounts within the same group to optimize balances and reduce interest costs.

Analysis and Reporting: It provides analytical tools (often through SAP's Fiori user interface) that allow users to create detailed, customized reports on cash position, cash flows, and treasury performance. This helps monitor financial key performance indicators (KPIs).
